Course Description

This course covers aspects of English language linguistics including but not limited to phonetics, phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, stylistics, discourse, varieties and dialects, global Englishes, social factors such as region, age, race, class, ethnicity and gender, the history of English, lexicography, and other relevant topics. Prerequisite(s): ENGL 1302 and one 2000-level literature class.
