Course Description
A survey of the world’s major civilizations and of their cultural, political, and economic interactions from roughly 1500 to modern globalization.
Course Credits: 3
Prerequisites: Reading knowledge of English.
Student Learning Outcomes
The course has several objectives in mind:
- The student will be able to describe the primary structural features of the world’s main civilizations.
- The student will be able to describe how the interactions between civilizations has grown and changed over time and how those interactions have affected the civilizations involved.
- The student will be able to interpret historical information through the application of models.
- That the student will read and write more precisely, and thus to think more critically.
