By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Demonstrate a general understanding of the history and development of the parole and probation systems.
- Explain court decisions which have shaped parole and probation into what it is today.
- Demonstrate knowledge of how different programs and approaches have been developed and how they are being used today in parole and probation.
- Exhibit an overall understanding of what case work is, how it is applied to different types of offenders and how it can affect the offender and the officer.
