Course Description
Graduate students choose between writing a thesis or researching three questions that are provided by their committee. The thesis and the questions each reflects a current issue in literacy that requires an in-depth investigation of scholarly research.
Course Credits: 3
Prerequisites: This is the final course taken in the literacy program. Therefore, students should have already completed all of the program coursework before enrolling in this class.

- Synthesize and evaluate theoretical arguments from the academic literature.
- Problem-solve solutions to relevant problems in literacy.
- Enhance communication skills and reading/research/writing acumen.
- Critically review research on literacy.
